Around The World in 80 Dumps is a series of documentaries charting Small Steps Project's work on dumps all around the world and is a campaign to create awareness through film. This page is where you can find research and statistics on dumps where we have worked and where we intend to work. We are constantly collecting information about dump communitites and where dumps are located as well as where all the ewaste is coming from.
The interactive map below shows the dumps we have visited in GREEN, dump sites that are known to us in BLUE and the United Nation's statistics on municipal waste collection and disposal in RED.

We are constantly working on this interactive map to find the exact locations of rubbish dumps around the world. This map does not depict the exact coordinates. Please contact us if you have more information about rubbish dump locations
Have you ever wondered which countries produce the most waste? The map below is the UN's map depicting the amount of waste collected in tonnes around the world.

The mission of Around The World in 80 Dumps is to make comparisons between dumps, dump regulations and the communities that exist there by identifying similarities, differences, problems and solutions so that we can better deal with poverty and waste.
Many municipal dumps are in isolated areas in developing countries and people do not know of their existence. If you have travelled to or know of an inhabited rubbish dump we would welcome any information you could send such as size, location and the number of inhabitants to info@smallstepsproject.org with the subject ‘Around The World in 80 Dumps’.
