LEAPS AND BOUNDS IN UGANDA!!

We took our first small steps in Africa this year! More specifically we visited the Ugandan capital, Kampala to spread the Valentine’s love on two landfill sites – Kitezi and Namboole. Our aim was to help 2,500 people. Given rainy season was about to start, we had to work fast. Turning waste into compost in Battambang, Cambodia

On our trip to Battambang to meet TKG and Comped, two NGO’s which run a nursery for kids living on the local landfill site, we also had the chance to meet a different branch of Comped. Comped also runs Social Waste Management, where they make compost from the waste produced in the local markets of Battambang. John, the manager, showed us the space.
