Tennis player Andy Murray OBE, currently ranked number 3 in the world, became in 2012 the first British man for 77 years to win the coveted men’s singles Wimbledon crown. Alongside his Wimbledon success, Andy has won two Olympic games (he is the only tennis player who has won two Olympic singles titles!), three Grand Slam tournament, a David Cup and the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals.
This is the third time that he is donating to Small Steps Project. In 2013, Andy kindly donated his 2013 Wimbledon champion’s shoes. In 2014, he also donated his Wimbledon 2014 shoes, worn during the tournament in which he narrowly missed out on retaining his champion title, progressing to the quarter final.
This year, Andy is donating a pair of navy blue and red pattern Under Armour trainers, UK size 11.
