Chris Martin

  Since the success of their very first single Yellow in 2000, Coldplay have been one of the biggest bands on the planet selling more than 100 million records worldwide and winning every major music award several times over, including 7 Grammys.

Frontman Chris Martin has also written songs for solo acts including British pop group Embrace and singer Jamelia. In 2006, he worked with rapper Jay-Z for the song Beach Chair for his album Kingdom Come, and with Kanye West on his 2008 single Homecoming.

Chris is well known for his philanthropic and charitable works, most notably on behalf of fair trade, human rights, children affected by poverty, war and disease. He has been supporting the Small Steps Project for over a decade and has donated 10 pairs of signed shoes. His were the first shoes to raise over £1000 when we first began the auction.
