Although, he’s best known for his performance as exiled knight Ser Jorah Mormont in the HBO fantasy epic Game of Thrones, Iain Glen has enjoyed a long and and respected career in film, television and theatre.
Once described as the greatest Scottish theatre actor of his generation, he’s won plaudits for his performances in Henry V, Hamlet, The Crucible, The Blue Room and Uncle Vanya. He’s equally at home in big blockbusters including in the horror sci-fi Resident Evil films, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Kingdom Of Heaven and Kick-Ass 2.
On the small screen he’s appeared in Downton Abbey, Wives and Daughters, Diary of Anne Frank, Delicious, Glasgow Kiss, Prisoner’s Wives, Kidnapped and most famously, the Irish TV crime series Jack Taylor.
We’re thrilled to have Iain to join us again for this year’s Small Steps online shoe auction to which he’s donated a pair of smart, Marks and Spencer leather lace-ups in a UK size 10.
