Between 1983 and 1987 the Smiths had 15 hits including This Charming Man, William It Was Really Nothing and Big Mouth Strikes Again, since then co-founder and songwriter, Johnny Marr has gone onto a successful solo career spanning three decades.
In 2018 his third solo album, Call the Comet, was met with critical success and his promotional tour was a sell out across venues in the UK and US.
He’s influenced an entire generation of British guitarists with musicians lining up to work with him; his many collaborations include the Talking Heads, Pet Shop Boys, the Pretenders, Hans Zimmer and Beck.
His legendary guitar status earned him the NME ‘godlike genius’ award in 2013.
We’re thrilled to welcome Johnny Marr as a first time donor to the Small Steps Project with these black suede Clark’s Chucker shoes in a UK size 8.
