Thank you to the fantastic children of P2a and P2b at Niddrie Mill Primary School in Edinburgh who have raised a fantastic £102.60 for Small Steps Project!Hand written letters from the children in classes P2a & P2b

The children at the school were learning about reducing, reusing and recycling rubbish when they came across photographs of children who live on landfill sites all around the world. Teachers Mrs Lyndsey Blair and Mrs Jennifer Myers told us, ‘our classes were very distressed by these images and wanted to do something to help. We found your website online and watched some of the videos. This made us want to raise money to buy the children wellies’.

So the fantastic classes of children, alongside their teachers began thinking of ideas of how they can raise money and awareness. Firstly, they held two whole assemblies about what they were doing and why. They also made items such as friendship bracelets and love heart decorations that were made from recycled materials. The classes made £102.60 through their sale to teachers and parents!
