What We Do 

Small Steps Project is a UK registered charity. We want to inspire everyone to take a small step, because together it is possible to make a difference.  From people volunteering their skills and attending our events, and companies donating their products and services we raise funds that go to those who need it most. First we provide emergency aid, shoes and food to children and communities living on municipal rubbish dumps around the world. Then we provide support for children to take steps into edication and adults into employment. 

 Firstly, we want to mobilise a network of organisations and individuals who, like us, can’t look away from this situation and want to see the human rights of these communities drastically improved and fully maintained in the future.

Secondly, we make documentary films and organise campaigns, such as Celebrity Shoe Auctions, to boost awareness of this huge, but often overlooked, global situation.

And finally, we want transparency and accountability on how these dumps materialise. Where does the waste come from and who is responsible for its safe disposal?
